Cultural Issues

Using movies and other materials, this class gathers to discuss the ways in which the church can maintain a relevant voice in our ever-changing world.
For example,
what can we learn from writers of the past, such as C.S. Lewis who wrote The Chronicles of Narnia, to help us be more faithful Christians today?  The movie, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," gave us a starting point for just such a discussion.

Or
how can the church help people, young and old, appreciate the way in which social media is changing the world, while also emphasizing the importance of using the Internet and other resources responsibly?

These are the types of questions that are fueling the Cultural Issues Class, which meets on the 4th Sunday of each month
at 3 p.m. in the pastor's home. See the church newsletter for more details.
